What is a Serviced Apartment?
In this week’s blog I thought it would be useful to dissect the term ‘Serviced Apartment’ and discuss in detail what this actually means. I think that those of us in the short-term let industry are sometimes guilty of using this piece of jargon and presuming that potential customers will know exactly what a serviced apartment is and what this will give them during their stay.
A serviced apartment is self-catering accommodation that is available to guests for short-term lets that can range from 1 night up to 5 months, with the added benefits of a hotel like service for guests to have an enjoyable and more relaxing stay.
Professional Cleaning
After every stay the accommodation will be cleaned by a team of professionals to a high standard. Additionally, at Hilltop Serviced Apartments we offer our longer-term guests the option of having mid-stay cleans. We find that guests staying for two weeks or more find the mid-stay cleans extremely beneficial, particularly those travelling for work.
Linen Changes
Again this is after every reservation and we are also able to offer changes of linen during longer-term stays. This is very much dependent upon the guest and their personal circumstances, but should it be of help we are happy to change linen during a longer-term reservation.
Fully equipped kitchen
Our apartments come with a fully equipped kitchen, including a washer/dryer, dishwasher, cleaning products for guests to use, utensils and cooking equipment. There shouldn’t be anything missing in order for you to make yourself feel at home and enjoy a meal of your choice.
It’s the little things
Toiletries and consumables will be provided at the start of a guests’ stay and can be provided during mid-stay cleans as well, which just helps take that stress away when packing for a trip and worrying if you forget to bring shampoo or body wash!
We offer Sky TV and Smart TV’s in our accommodation to make our guests feel at home and have the perfect setting to sit back and relax.
Free wifi and secure underground parking prove very popular with our guests, particularly given that our location is in the heart of Manchester City Centre and parking can often be expensive.
I believe that the wrap-around services offered on top of the self-catering accommodation are what make a serviced apartment a fantastic choice of destination when travelling for both work and leisure. The professional cleaning, equipped kitchen, toiletries upon arrival and also our team ready to help on the end of a phone call mean that a guest can sit back and enjoy their stay with the reassurance that things are taken care of.
